Infant Car Seat to Convertible
Hi Girls!
My Chubza is approaching the height/weight limit for the Graco Snugride car seat. I intend to have DH install the convertible and switch to a face-out stroller.
Did anybody have issues when going from having DC in a face-in stroller or snap n go to facing out into the world in a regular stroller??
I have one of those shopping cart covers, so I will have DS facing me 90% of the time, but I'm kind of sad/hesitant to move him from facing me to facing away from me.
Maybe I'm crazy...hahaha.

Re: May be a silly question (Infant Car Seat to Convertible)
My DDs loved facing out so they could soak up the world in the stroller.

I have the one off child apparently.
My DD hates when she is not facing me. She will cry and scream the entire time. For my sanity, I found that having the option of having her face me is priceless. And then there are times she won't sit in the stroller period

Re: May be a silly question (Infant Car Seat to Convertible)
I am going to try the switch this weekend. I am beyond nervous about this.
My back is destroyed b/c he is not even 6.5 mths and is 20lbs and 29 inches. I'm going to a back specialist on Monday. It's pathetic...the only thing that makes it feel better is running (I know, crazy) but about 2 hours later it's excruciating again.
Anyway enough about me, back to him:
He has the tendency to fall asleep in his car seat and he sleeps like an Angel.
I feel like a jerk having to transfer him to sitting up in the cart w a cover when I do my weekly grocery shopping.
Has anyone tried grocery shopping with a cart and pushing a lightweight stroller too????
This sounds like a new and fun form of exercise! lol

Agreeed, DS was 7 months when we switched him and he loved every second of it! I think they get sick of just seeing our faces!

This was me too! DS was 30lbs at 1year old! it was insane! I never had back issues until after I had him. I went to a chiropractor and he taught me some tricks on how to do things without putting strain on my back. 2 years later I am happy to say I have not had to go back!!!
Anyway, honestly that is the downfall of getting rid of the infant seat. I know with DS he wouldnt stay asleep and there was NO way I could push both. I can barely keep track of on cart! But you learn tricks to keep them happy. snacks, toys, etc. I used to get compliments about DS in the store all the time, how well behaved he was --I used to laugh and say yeah I just keep the snacks coming and he is happy! But it worked (for awhile!)
GL!
