inexpensive up-dos?
I am in a wedding Saturday and my H and I are in kind of a rough spot financially right now. The bride has told us we don’t have to use the stylist she has coming to her house that will be charging $100 per person so I was hoping to find a salon that was less expensive and have it done before I go over….however, most of the salons I have looked at seem to be charging about $75 for an up-do. Does anyone have any recommendations for somewhere that does a decent job and is less expensive? Thanks! I really appreciate it!

if you are near Island Park, try Salon Sculpture. I don't remember how much they cost tbut they are very good.

if you are in Suffolk County and near Hauppauge, check out LIBS (long island beauty school). I believe they charge like $20. I've done this before. For updo, I trust the beauty students (they have the instructors right near them).
If not, check out Lemon Tree's. For an updo, I'm sure they are probably around $50 (maybe even less).

Re: inexpensive up-dos?
my bridesmaids went to Tapestry Salon in Centereach and paid $60 i believe. but we told them it was for a wedding, so they may charge less if you don't mention the word "wedding"

Re: inexpensive up-dos?
What time is the wedding... I just made an appointment with my girl at Annastasia (she's great) and I know she has a 7:30 am slot and a noon slot still open. Those are her only appointments left for the day. Her name is Maria Candy.
