inducing labor naturally! Need a list!
hi ladies
yesterday was my due date
I am preggo with #2 - at my last visit i was 3cm and 90% effaced.
they scheduled my induction (which im so scared of) for tuesday may 22
Please give me a list of things that you did that you think helped you bring on labor!
Thanks!!!!
BTW - DH's birthday is Saturday LOL so I'm trying to get a fun filled busy day on Friday
so I can go by Saturday!
ofcourse i know mother nature has other plans sometimes , but im just wishing here :)

With DD (my 1st) I was 2cm on Tuesday, walked my ass off on wednesday - probably 4-5 miles, when back to the DR on Thursday (she was huge, so my OB wanted to keep an eye on things), I was 6cm - oops, she sent me to the hospital ASAP - and she was born that day.
I swear I could feel her dropping as I walked, lol. That and sitting on one of those exercise balls.

For DS1 I was over a week late and tried everything...
DTD  - not so fun and didn't work
walked all over - nope, tired feet and didn't work
Bounce on one of those workout balls - Needed DH's help or I'd fall over and didn't work
pedicure with extra long massage - didn't work, but was AWESOME. At least my feet looked good. LOL
spicey foods - tasted good, but didn't work
Sooo... wound up with a c-section, but that's a whole other story.

I pretty much tried everything and it didn't work. I ended up inducing followed by a c-section. This is what I tried:
Walking- I did 2 miles for about a week, besides swollen feet nothing
Spicy foods- hot wings are yummy but nothing
Castor Oil- I was desperate by this point and besides the runs and massive puking episode NOTHING.
All in all- let nature take it's course

I tried everything listed except for DTD. People swear by Castor oil but it did NOT work for me. Puked, pooped...NOT fun.
