Increase formula?

How do you know when it's time to increase the amount of formula? DD was eating every 3 hours...sometimes 3 1/2 or 4 at night. However, the last few days it's only been about 2 1/2 hours before she's hungry again. Does that mean it's time? She has been taking 3 oz...how much should I increase it to?

Re: Increase formula?

Try increasing it another ounce. Sounds like she is hungry.

Re: Increase formula?

It is time to increase the amount formula. If the time between feedings gets smaller than increase the amount of formula.

Re: Increase formula?

I read somewhere that once they start to finish the bottle, it's time to increase by 1oz. I have done it with my little one and he is content Chat Icon

Re: Increase formula?

I was told by the PED that if the baby finishes 75% of all the bottles then to go up 20 - 30 cc.
