In so much pain!
All last week I was getting an on and off pain in my right leg shooting up my "arse" now for the last 2 days it has switched to my left side and as of tonight it has been constant! I was stuck in the shower home alone and could not put pressure down on the left side. I thought I would never make it out of there to my bed. I am worried only because now it isn't sporatic like last week and I can bareley walk. I did a search and if it is the sciatic nerve most of what I read is not looking too promising. I am only 16 weeeks and many were saying that there isn't much that can be done???Any suggestions or people in the same boat?

Re: In so much pain!
It was happening to me for quite a while, and then she moved, and has layed off of the nerve pretty much.
The only thing that you can do (at least it worked for me) was to get off my feet and put them up and relax til bebe moves......

Re: In so much pain!
Or get a massage. Just discussed sciatica with my massage therapist the other day and how massage can help. I get a massage every 2 weeks and have not encountered sciatica yet. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Re: In so much pain!
I'm 28 weeks and just started experiencing this pain on and off.
I am trying to drink more fluids, trying to stretch before going to bed and trying to keep my legs elevated. These seems to help, but slightly. And I am also eating bananas (potassium).
I'm going to my OB tonight and I will ask if she knows of anything else I can do.
