In pain
For a while now I have been experiencing some pain in my pelvic area but it was never as bad as now. On Sunday I woke up with such severe pain that I could not even walk. Its hard to describe but its worst when I shift from one side to the other when laying down or move from sitting to standing. My privates are swollen and throbbing - I am hobbling along! I went to the doctor and the baby is fine, my cervix is fine and I was basically told that its just a part of pregnancy. I did not have pain this bad (and this early on, im only 27 weeks) with my 1st. Has anyone else experienced this? Help!

In pain
Yep. I had insane pain very early in the 2nd tri until a few days after I gave birth. I mean, I could hardly walk, turning over in bed was almost impossible, I couldn’t bend to put my shoes on…It literally felt like someone was holding my right leg, and someone was holding my left leg, and they were pulling me apart like a wishbone. You get the picture. Every time I would complain at my doctor’s office, the nurses would tell me it’s just a normal part of pregnancy. But, it didn’t feel normal. I suspect that I had Pubic Symphysis Diastasis. Maybe you can look it up and see if there is any treatment/relief for it. I know how painful it is, and I’m sorry you’re going through it.

You might want to try a chiropractor. I got to the point I could barely walk and with proper treatment I'm feeling so much better.

Not sure if you are describing the same thing I had but I started physical therapy and it helped me get back to almost normal. Before that I was crying just to walk......it was horrible and definitely beyond the realm of normal.

I suggested to my doc that I had pubic symphysis disorder and she said she doubts it. She acted like it was a normal thing.
I'm in pain and to make matters worse DH acts like I'm exaggerating! He even complained that the house was a mess after I worked all day, worked over time then rushed to meet him to look at a house- all while hobbling around with an achy woohah! This sucks!

Re: In pain
I wonder if acupuncture would help? I go for acupuncture once every 3-4 weeks, so far I don't have any pain complaints (but I know it's still early, I'm 18w5d). I go to Lighthouse Wellness in East Meadow.
