In Love...
Oh, how I heart my conversations with Bella. I love talking to her each day about the happenings at school and I adore her "take" on things.
I have always been super close with her (a mother/daughter relationship eluded me during my childhood) ...
but now....I just wish I could clone her sometimes. Even with the cranky, pull-your-hair-out-moments and backtalk...I have really lucked out.
Anyone else feel like this new phase has just been amazing? It's almost like a cheesy commercial
DH is jealous too...but he'll just have to deal with that.

Re: In Love...
I think every new phase is amazing. I told Joseph this past Sunday (his birthday) that I loved every bit of his life & I can't wait to see what's coming in the next year. I told him "even during our most difficult times, I've loved being your mom."
I can't believe Bella is in elementary school! We need her sassy picture again!

Re: In Love...
I can't possibly agree more with both of you.
These boys light my life in ways I can't even express. Don't get me wrong.. I really love "Me" time.. but it doesn't hold a CANDLE to "family time" - the things that come out of their mouths just kill me sometimes.
And I love that they come to me for advise these days. Robbie asks me how to 'handle' the girl who talks to him all day and whispers inane random things in his ear like "my eyebrows are red" and "Dogs are really just pigs with longer tails." My advise? To take notes because those are some rare gems popping out of her mouth and I might want to write a sitcom one day!
I honestly cannot wait to get home each night to chat with them while we cook. It is one of the highlights of my day.

not the cooking part, but the highlight of my day is exactly the same. I love how she chatters on about the little intricacies of the day.
My favorite is that she is connecting lessons at home...she was all excited about knowing something was "equivalent"

Re: In Love...
LOL I remember that sassy picture although the first thought that pops in my head is "Miss Thing" as I call my friend's DD with a little attitude. You have a beautiful girl, then and now.
I love those moments you are talking about. My boys are different than my DD. I love to hear all their perspectives but my DD is very intuitive and perceptive, I love to hear her thought patterns especially as she gets older. I made a sarcastic remark this morning (not my best morning obviously) and she said "stop trying to make us feel bad" - damn, she put me in my place.
Enjoy!
