In Law VENT!
Why is everything so freaking difficult with DH's family?? It is so annoying! Heres the story: We are going to DH's nephews communion in May. We live in Ohio, they live in MI. We are spending a few days before the communion on vacaition and then driving to their house on Sat for the communion. Plan all along was to stay at SIL's house (son who is making communion) that night so we wouldnt have to drive again that night and the kids could hang out. MIL was not happy when she found out that we were going to stay at SIL's house becasue she wants us to stay there (1.5 hours away from SIL's house) so they could spend time with the kids. HELLO.....you'll be with them all day.!
So SIL now tells DH that it may be cramped to stay at their house and it may be better to stay at IL's house. UM NO!!! Their house is small, dirty and their towels smell like milldew. Bottom line is MIL is laying a sob story on SIL and being manipulative! It is miserably uncomfortable to stay at IL's house.
It is just so annoying that anything invovleing his family always ends up like this...freaking chaos.
OK...vent over.

Re: In Law VENT!
I would love to, but my DH would never allow it. These are the times he needs to grow some and tell his mom and annoying sisters to keep their comments to themselves and that we will do what is best and most comfortable for OUR family. UGH. What makes it even more annoying is that my family is the complete opposite and are non intrusive and I would feel totally comfortable telling anyone in my family that it would be better to stay in a hotel. These are the times I wish we lived back in Texas and were not within driving distance to them.
