In ground pool & semi in ground
If you put one in.... how big was it and do you mind sharing how much it cost you (and for what size and type)? Also, any additional costs that you incurred you would helpful too (brick, etc).
We are interested in getting a in ground liner pool (our parents both have/had them) but also considering the option of semi inground.
TIA!
Thanks!

We had a semi-inground installed last year. Its oval, 15x30. We considered an inground and decided basaed on the cost, to go with semi. Ours was $10,000 and included everything for the pool (filter, cover, vacuum, etc), but no decking. I think we were quoted about $18,000 - $20,000 for the inground (16x32). We are doing the deck around it this year - not sure how much $$ it will be yet (part of the reason we went with semi was not only because of the price diff for the pool itself, but because of the cost of doing the work around the pool - doing brick work etc around an inground was going to be much more $$$ than a deck around the semi).

Re: In ground pool & semi in ground
I'm not sure if it's true or not but I think that with a semi-inground your taxes won't go up. With an inground they will because it's more permanent. That's what I have heard from people who have both.
We plan on doing semi-inground and extending our deck around it. Tho we are looking into Fiberglass without a liner so our dogs can join us! lol

The no tax increase is a plus... I have heard that as well. We really do WANT an in ground, but we don't plan to have it deep 4-5 feet, so we are thinking costs wise and tax wise it just might make more sense to go semi! Fiberglass is a great idea especially for the pups!
