In dire need for sleep help

DS is 9 months old. In January we moved him from the RNP, where he STTN, to his crib. We had to CIO but he got it w/in a few days and was once again STTN usually till 7 or 8 am. It was HEAVEN. He just got over a cold a few weeks ago and ever since then, he is waking up 3am or 5am and is inconsolable. I tried CIO but he will just stand in his crib and scream for 1 1/2 plus. I have been picking him up giving him a bottle and bringing him into our bed but he just drinks his bottle and then is ready to play. PLEASE any advice would be appreciated. I am a SAHM but I am preggo w/DC#2 and I am beyond exhausted. I dont want to instill unhealthy sleep habit for him.

Thanks so much!!!!

In dire need for sleep help

DD just went through a phase like this before her first birthday. I do usually nurse her when she wakes at night but she was waking up just chatting and hanging out from 3-4am. I would finally nurse her just to get her back to sleep. Then she started waking at 5am and just being up for the day. I found that if I got her and fed her right away she was more likely to go back to sleep. If I waited to see if she'd go back to sleep she would just wake up completely and never go back to sleep.

I'm not sure I have much advice, just reassurance that for us it was just a short phase. In fact, right after that she started sttn for the first time in a long time. Unfortunately that didn't last either and she's now back to waking once at night but goes right back to sleep and stays down until around 7. I think what worked for me was to do whatever to get her back to sleep quickly so that waking at crazy times didn't become a habit.
