In contract...when can I go "looking" at furniture?

I really think this sale is going to go quickly. I want to look for new furniture and start a file of the items I want to use in my home. Is it to early to go looking? Can I browse for ideas?

Why not go looking? It will be fun and you'll get to really take your time and find things you love. I'd wait until you get the mortgage commitment but I am nervous with these things!

I always just doggy ear stuff in all the catalogues I like. Also it's good to get design ideas... Pottery Barn, Crate & Barrel, West Elm, Ballard, Art & Artifact.. .

I had to laugh, because I've been "looking" for furniture forever, it seems.

It's a good idea to get a feel for what you like..

I'm always tempted to buy stuff, so once in awhile I will treat myself to something I know will look good in any house and is definitely my taste.

Good luck !!Chat Icon

I went through tons of catalogs and ripped out pages with stuff I liked, and put it in a binder. I started way before I even had a house. It helps you get a sense of your "style"

we are most likely taking our furniture and then going to buy new after a few months - espec since most of the stuff I want is backordered through July anyhow...

start browsing now so you do not impulse buy furniture when you close. That way you can see whats out there and what your style is.

If you have an afternoon, just drive up and down 110 in Farmingdale.
