I'm venturing into unchartered waters here....
This board frightens me for some reason - not you guys, just the thought of doing home projects...
but heres the thing - I have so many things that need to be done, and I think I'm the one that will have to do them because DH is useless.
I want to put curtains up instead of closet doors, for example. I've seen this done and love it. I want to put up shelves, and a hammock from my baby's ceiling to put stuffed animals in... There are other things I want to do to make our home look nice, but will look to you ladies to help me figure it out...
I want to just become more knowledgeable about DIY - can you ladies recommend resources? Books, websites (preferably - since I wont have to purchase a website!)
Also, money is a major issue, so any way to save money while making my home look like a 33 yr old and a 43 yr old live here - and not a bunch of college kids - would also be helpful!

HGTV.com and the actual shows have great tips. I also like the home board on TheNest.com - I love browsing through peoples bios and getting ideas.

You can definitely do it. The things you are talking abou are relatively basic and you should have no problems. Good luck! Check out peoples albums on here too for ideas.
HGTV and DIY are my favorite channels.

Definitely HGTV and DIY networks, I am always watching them! They also both have great websites with wonderful resources.
