I'm tired of making decisions. (long)

I'm ready to flip a coin! Chat Icon

1. Glider color. Picking a glider has been such a PITA because BBB keeps telling us conflicting information! First we were told we could customize wood/fabric at no extra cost. We picked out our colors and went back this weekend to add it to our registry and were told that it costs X to order the color/combo they have on display and costs extra to customize. We agonized over it and ultimately decided to go custom because we didn't want dark wood or the standard color. I called today to add the custom one to our registry and found out that the custom option is more than we were told this weekend but that you CAN customize the wood at no extra charge and can choose from 6 fabric options without it costing extra. Chat Icon Back to the drawing board again, as I'm not sure it's worth it to customize the fabric if we can customize the wood at no extra charge and while not our ideal, I dont mind some of the standard fabrics...

2. My Little Lamb v. Snugabunny. Decided on Lamb, then decided to register for rechargeable batteries, and now have been convinced to switch to Snugabunny which of course isn't on BBB's website anymore so when I called about the glider I asked them to add it to my registry for me. Chat Icon

3. Strollers. Went to BBB expecting to finally decide conclusively on the grey color and then saw someone with the blue and we're back to the drawing board. DH preferred the grey but now is leaning blue and I might be leaning blue too, even though the majority says grey.

NONE OF THESE DECISIONS MATTER. WHY AM I OBSESSING OVER THEM?

Maybe it's distracting me from the real "big decisions" we need to make -- where to move to, what childcare, whether to fly to BIL's wedding at 32.5 weeks, etc which we are also dealing with at the same time...

im totally having an issue with the lamb and bunny swing too!!!

i really want the bunny one, but its been out of stock for the longest time on bbb, i added the lamb one, hopeing someone would buy it for my shower and it would be once less thing we need to purchase.

nobody bought it yet, and my shower is next weekend!
i guess its good, cuz then i can just go to babies r us and buy the bunny one.

Lady I couldn't agree with you more!

Glider, idk...I picked one that was liike a sofa seat vs the wood bc I know me and that was what I was comfy in.

I picked snug because it was the same as the lamb BUT it plugged in

And as far as the stroller...which has been the bane of my existance lol I went with the cole slate bc I will be able to use it for a girl more so than the myles...I saw the myles and it was so bright and cute but the cole seemed like a better choice for unisex in the end.

Sounds like you're doing the latter of the 2 BUT there is SO MUCH to think about its hard to focus sometimes. I know you will figure all of this out, but the decisions are mind boggeling!

I liked the blue stroller better. It just stands out more and looks more distinctive. The gray is so... plain.

I don't have either of those swings. We have a very simple, inexpensive one from Bright Starts. We never felt like we needed a special fancy swing.

You don't even know where you'll be yet, but you know you need a glider? I got one on CL but never use it. Just doesn't fit into our lifestyle.

Whatever choices you make, it will all work out!!! Don't worry!!! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

As a BTDT mom, I have had both the my little lamb and now the snug a bunny swing and i feel the the snug a bunny is much better in that it is quieter, faster (when needed), it has the ac adaptor which is a lifesaver especially when your batteries die ( my son has reflux so I can't even tell you how many batteries I go through and I priced out the rechargeables and keep in mind you would need 2 sets of batteries!). It also has a 5 Pt harness which made a huge difference when DS started to sit up.

BBB didn't have it in the store but I ordered it through the store who said it would take 2 weeks and it was here in 2 days!

Hope this helps!

Chat Icon You're OCD about these things because you can easily control them and being pg and having a baby is sooooooo out of your control most of the time. It's ok, and no matter what you pick 6 months from now you really won't remember why you cared this much. Try to relax and enjoy this part. When the baby is sceaming and only a swing will do you won't care which you picked, just that you picked one. When it's 2am and you have not slept in 6wks you won't care what fabric the glider is, you'll only care that you have something comfy to rock the baby in. Trust me this is so normal.
