I can't even make BROWNIES! I just burnt the whole batch I really wanted these this morning

I'm sure you're not a bad cook! It can be so difficult to multi-task and do a bunch of things at once!
I once tried to cut a recipe in half but I messed up the math and got a bunch of slop!  It happens to us all!!!

JUst keep trying. When my Mom married my Dad all she could make was Tacos! After a lot of practice she became a great cook.  Just hang in there..

It may not be your fault -- your oven could be running to hot. Buy yourself an over thermometer to make sure that its at the right temperature!

I've donethat a few times. Sometimes i wrote down tha halved recipe so i don't get confused & halve soemthings & not others.
When DH & I were first dating I made a pizza & it completey stuck to the pan. We couldn't get peices out, so we just dug at it with forks, straight out of the pan & ate as much as we could salvage .
It was quite a funny momet.
DH couldn't believe I didn't get mad & scap the whole thing, but we were hungry, and didn't have anything else to eat, and I couldn't waste the money I had spent on the ingedients (especially the meat topping which was fine.)
