I'm so never going out again
Fot those of you who read my other post I went out to hibachi with dh and our friends (2 other couples) for our friend's bday. Well we went to the new hibachi place on middle country rd in lake grove. We were in the bar area waiting for a table when a woman approached us for a cigarette...offering us $ for 1. None of us smoke so she then told us how she's from out of state and didnt want to cross middle country rd to get to 711 to go buy cigarettes because it's so busy. Our friend told her if she crosses stony brook rd instead, there is a hess and it's less busy. We sit down to eat and are sharing a table with a father and his daughter who is about 6 or 7. After about 5-10 minutes, a woman comes running over asking him if he was with a woman named christine. He says yes and she says hurry up she just got hit by a car. He was like is she ok?? And the woman couldnt say. All 6 of us had a sinking feeling. Dh and our guu friends ran out to see if they could help being our friends are cops. Sure enough it was the woman from the bar area. I felt so bad it took me so long to process whay had happened. I would have kept his dd inside so she didnt see her mom that way. The guys said she was conscious and crying but it seemed she hurt her leg. Please say a prayer. If anyone knows how she is, please let me know.

OMG, my friend who is a cop was here before to pick up his wife's bracelet that I borrowed, he got a call about an accident in Lake Grove and ran out, I hope she's OK!!!!

If you hear anything, please let me know! There was a second accident closer to the mall 30 minutes later

My husband works in the restaurant in the shopping center across the street and they got questioned about a shooting not an accident that occured at that intersection...they came in to see if anyone saw anything
Edited to say: he said this morning the owner said the person was okay

This was a different incident. This eoman definitely got hit by a car.
