I'm scheduled for a C-section
on Feb 15, which is a week earlier than my EDD. Because I have GD and the baby is measuring big, they feel I'm at risk for shoulder dystocia, where you can deliver the head, but the shoulder gets caught, so they aren't even bothering to try a vaginal birth. It's really kind of strange to know when & how the baby is coming. I'm nervous but very excited.

Re: I'm scheduled for a C-section
I had the same issue. My son was measuring 9lb 4 oz at my 39w 5d appt, then I delivered him 2 days later (on his due date) and he was 9lb 14 oz. I was worried about having a section but it was the best thing for me! My Dr was worried about the same thing she didnt want me to labor for awhile and then wind up in surgery!
The section was not as bad as I had envisioned. I didnt have GD and only scheduled 2 days before my section but just know it will be worth it!!!
