I'm really starting to think...
That I might be pregnant again No AF since Alex was born and I weaned her about 3 months ago. And lately, I'm starting to have some strange symptoms... nauseau, strong sense of smell, dizzy, emotional and strange cravings... I'm too scared to test, but I have a Dr. appointment on Thursday. I'm really hoping this is all my imagination

Oooh, keep us posted girlie...I would be too scared to test too.
I actually missed like 3 birth control pills and DH wasn't to careful last month, I was so scared...by the time I got the courage to test, I got my period...I need at least 3 more years before I even think of getting PG again!
Any idea how far along you'd be?

I'm a dingleberry because as frightened to death as I am to be pregnant again so soon, I wasn't exactly super diligent with my birth control the last couple of months. I have NO idea... I haven't gotten AF since before Alex was born. I was a little worried a couple of months ago so I tested and it was negative, but that was 2 months ago!

Well, if you are a dingleberry, I am hanging right next to you. As much as I don't want to get PG for at least 3 years for a whole laundry list of reasons, I can't tell you how many times I forget to take my pill...
But, also, if it did for some reason happen (and I knock wood as I say this) I know we would handle, just as we handled getting PG so quickly with Bella...and you will too! How the heck are you gonna be able to wait 'til Thursday though, it would consume me!

Re: I'm really starting to think...
TEST TEST TEST you dingleberry!!!
It'll put your mind at ease whatever the result. Your symptoms might be related to the hormonal changes from weaning...even though that was a while ago... it takes a while to get everything back to normal.
Anyway if you wait until you go to the Dr, all they are going to do is either have you POAS at the office or tell you to go buy one and test at home. If you are pg, you may as well find out before going to the Dr so you can get your script for prenatals now.
Let us know either way - whatever you decide to do! And good luck!

Well, at least it's comforting to know I'm not the only dingleberry out there I can't test - I'm just way too scared to find out. I know we CAN handle it, and DH is gung-ho for having lots and lots of kids, but I just got over Alex's colic and the thought of dealing with another fussy baby so soon absolutely TERRIFIES me I love Alex more than words could express, but she's such a handful that I don't know how I would handle another one so soon...

AHEM!!!!! I thought we talked about this...you are NOT allowed to get pg again until I am so we can go thru #2 together too!
Just test! Thursday is too long to wait! But - if you're not then you're just way lucky! Joseph is STILL bf'ing and I've had TBAF 2x now since March!

Ohhhh TRUST ME, I would LOVE to wait until you're ready for #2! I just don't think my body is willing to wait that long! ANd you know what? If it IS a fluke, after dealing with the fussiest baby in the world, I deserve a break from AF! It's my pathetic consolation prize

Re: I'm really starting to think...
I was in the same boat as you last month. I forgot my pill for like a week and me and DH werent careful either. I thought i was gonna DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I didnt even want to post it on here for fear that if i wrote it it would come true! I was feeling the same way as you, we prob could of handled another one (not like there would be a choice for me) but the fact that I too just got over Jacob's colic and gas issue, the thought of dealing with that again just may have sent me sailing off the verrazano bridge!!!!!! Plus i really want to enjoy just him for a few yrs. I was scared to test too... but then finally AF came. I was never so happy to see her in all my life!!!!!!!! Good luck, and keep us posted!!!!!!!!

I know! I remember your pain...they always say that the second is the opposite of your first...so you will have an absolute angel and mine will come out kicking with horns and a tail (pitchfork included)...
I will be thinking about you...and if you get the nerve to test...let us know we'll be hangin' like dingleberries in the wind

Re: I'm really starting to think...
How did I miss this post yesterday!!!
Please let us know what happens!
And I secretively want more babies already also -- even though I know it would be SOO hard!! I took a test a few months ago because I thought I was and it was negative and I was glad, but also upset at the same time.
I was TERRIFIED to take the test!
And I seriously imagine I have PG symptoms all the time -- nausea, hunger, boob pains .... so I don't know how I'll be able to know when it's the real thing!

Re: I'm really starting to think...
Beth...same boat here! SO forgetful with the pill and since I never had an issue in the past with doubling and tripling up, I assume I don't have that issue now. We are SO not careful even though I screw up my pills...
so far so good....but if I got PG again that soon, I think I'd need mental help. Rich says if it happens, then it's meant to happen and we'll handle it (his idea of handling it--->me staying home ALL the time)

Re: I'm really starting to think...
I just noticed this post... I know what mixed emotions you must feel. There were a few weeks I was questioning things myself and just recently after getting af when starting to take my pill again, I had the same symptoms. I wonder if your body is more sensitive to the bc than before. I have been light headed, nauseaus, had an increased appetite, aversion to food, craving cereal again...I said to one of my friends that I felt like I was pg again. I am going to ask my obgyn next time I go.
