I'm having digestive issues
Ever since my bout with whatever I came down with on New Year's. I thought it was food poisoning, but later found out a really awful tummy virus was going around my daughter's school so I suspect that's what I got.
But ever since then I've been a mess. I'm either writhing in pain from god awful gas cramps, or running to the bathroom because of diarrhea (sorry, TMI ) and then enduring really uncomfortable stomach cramping for an hour or two after.
It hasn't been everyday, more like every other day, and tends to hit me at 3am, and dissipates by 10am.
Is this just par for the course with the pregnancy? Or this icky tummy virus still making its way through my system? Any ideas?
I'm putting in a call to the nurse at my ob/gyn later. I do have an appointment early next week so if it's not done by then, I'll beg my doctor for some kind of relief.

Re: I'm having digestive issues
Sometimes after a virus you can get gastritis (sp?). Usually the doc has me take pepto 'round the clock. But, I don't think that's okay for preggos. So I would call the doctor. You want to get your balance in your digestive system back. You can take some acidopholus (again..sp?). Maybe the activia yogurt would help?

That's a good idea. I'll buy some later today and see if that helps.
