I'm greedy, how do I get DS to sleep 1 more hour??

So DS goes to bed between 6:30 and 7:30 every night, he actually whines for bedtime, and knows it is bedtime. I put him asleep awake, he rolls over and goes to sleep. I've tried putting him to bed later and even earlier. It messes up his wake up time, and he winds up earlier.

He recently started sleeping through the whole night continuously because we put a radio in his room on static for white noise. First success!

Usually he wakes up at 5/5:30 am. We only have to wake up at 6:30 am. When he sees the light coming in his window in the morning (even though we have blackout shades) he wakes up. He will whine and cry for the next hour and a half. So, I've started taking him in my bed for 30-1 hr each morning bc I'm so tired I don't want to listen to him cry for that 30-1 hr and be awake anyway. He 99% of the time, cuddles up to me and falls asleep for that last hour, if not more!

I'll admit, I love the cuddling for that hour, but I wouldn't mind sleeping right through. Any ideas on how to get him to sleep for that 1/2 to one hour longer? Or do I just have to succumb to his wake time at 5 am?Chat Icon

Does he have a crib toy? Something llike the aqarium or turtle that attaches to the crib? Sometimes if Anthony gets up early, he will sit and play with that for a while.

No advice as I'm in the same boat. I wake at 6:30 but he is up at 6am. I actually only need 1/2 hour. I just started getting up at 6. Eventually I will get use to it and when I do, DS will sleep til 7.

He does, but we had to take it out. He has the aquarium, but he moves all around the crib, then winds up kicking or hitting it so it goes on. Which in turn wakes him up even earlier.
