I'm desperate - I need nap help BAD

DD is five months old, and used to be a very good napper. She'd be up for about two hours, and go right down again for a nap (usually in her crib, or sometimes in the stroller). She has been fighting me like CRAZY when it comes to nap time. She's visibly tired - I put her down at the first sign. She is screaming her head off and I don't know what to do. I am losing my patience. I don't think she's old enough for CIO, but this is ridiculous. She's only napped an hour ALL DAY!!! WWYD?

ETA: She just cut two teeth in the past two weeks, but doesn't appear to be in any pain. When she's not tired, she's happy and her usual self. And at night, she's fine going to bed in her crib!

I have to put Sadie down before she gets too tired or she fights me.

What if you rock her for a few minutes to get her drowsy? Thats what I had to do when Sadie started revolting naps. It was only for a couple days and then she was back to normal.

Re: I'm desperate - I need nap help BAD

between 4months and 6 months ds hardly ever napped for me.. it was such torture... the only way i was able to get even 20 minutes was to feed him in the bouncy seat so that when he was eating and fell asleep i could atleast grab a bite to eat... i had asked my ped about it she told me it is common because they arent in an extreme growth stage and they arent as active yet.... whether it is true or not i dont know... but once ds became more active with crawling and cruising he started taking two hour+ naps....

also at 5 months i did start doing a small amount of cio...

at that age - I still had to rock DD to get her to go down for naps because she fought me like crazy but I knew she needed the rest.
