Ikea...not sure where to post
So we're looking at getting a crib, and 2 dressers from Ikea. If you have Ikea furniture how easy was it to put together and is it worth the 1 1/2 hr drive for it to save $1500????? Is it good quality? I'm looking at the Hermans dressers(? for spelling)

Re: Ikea...not sure where to post
I'm a HUGE fan of Ikea furniture. I find it to be so well made and easy to put together. My sister has a dresser in her bedroom from there that she got when she was 16, she's now 32 and it is in perfect condition, AND they have a huge azz tv on top of it. Our platform bed and Ava's day bed is from them, as well, and we love, love , love them. Took me like 30 minutes total to put them both together. Our first crib was recalled and I didn't want another from the same company, so we'll be getting an Ikea crib for our next DC. I think Baby Bargains gave them a great rating. HTH!

Re: Ikea...not sure where to post
I love Ikea furniture, and yes, I would drive to save the money. IMO spending a lot of money on baby furniture is a waste (of course if you want to and can spend the big bucks, good on ya) but imo Ikea furniture is easy to put together and in actuality is quite good quality.

If you dont' want to assemble it, you can pay their service to do it for you. I had it done in my 2nd bedroom and we are loving it.

Re: Ikea...not sure where to post
I have a love/hate relationship with most of their stuff. I either love the look, or hate it. There's very little I'm totally neutral about....
However, of all the pieces I've assembled, I've never had a problem. It's all very good quality. Our new bathroom vanity and medicine cabinet are from there. We also have a dresser. I think we have other pieces, but I can't remember.

Re: Ikea...not sure where to post
I find Ikea furniture very easy to assemble. The instructions are simple, and the tools for the most part are included. I would absolutely drive more than an hour to save over $1000. GL!
