If your toddler boy ever had to wear a tuxedo...

...did he get upset about the collar being too tight? My son is going to be a ring bearer in my sister's wedding in a few weeks. We just tried on his tux because we are having it altered today, and he started crying when I buttoned the top button and saying "too tight!". It was so sad. My husband felt it and said it fit how it should, but I guess he just isn't used to having anything that tight. Did anyone else ever run into this problem? What did you do?? I don't want him to be uncomfortable that day. Chat Icon

do you have to button it? Can you really tell if it's not buttoned and put on the bowtie a little more loose
this is my fear for DS next year. He'll be 3 and a ring bearer in my SIL's wedding. While I'm excited how cute he'll be he also has sensory issues. Gotta make it as comfortable for him as possible
My nephew was 3 when he was in my wedding. He did ok with the tux, but nervous to go down the aisle so he held my sister's hand and walked down
THey're kids and unpredictable. Most people expect when kids are in a party it's not gonna go perfect.

Thanks for the replies. I think I'll try leaving it unbuttoned at the top and hopefully the bowtie will cover it enough. Thankfully, my sister totally doesn't kind if the lids onto do exactly what they're "supposed to do." She already said she has no problem if the kids walk down with their parents if they don't wanna go alone when the time comes. So I know she won't be upset if his top button is open!
