If your DC had a 3 year well visit what vaccines did you get
other than flu shot?
DD had the visit today. PED came in I asked what she was getting and he told me that even though DD got all her shots including PCV7 -Pneumococcal Conjugate (we never missed, delayed or separated any vaccines ) there is a vaccine that came out few months ago , PVC 13 and he said DD should get it since she will be starting preschool tomorrow. I had a very hard time deciding what to do , but I agreed and we did it, so she got the vaccine + a flu shot and a blood test.
Anyone else?

No shots at 3 they said next set of shots would be at 4. DD doesn't get the flu shot because of egg allergies.

The only one DD got was the MMR since I delayed it until it was madatory for school.

DS got the 13 one, but no flu shot because of allergies.

the prevnar 13 is a new vaccine including more strains than the original prevnar. so any child who finished the series and is under 5 is getting the additional vaccine
