If you'll be using Daycare, what car seat...
I'm having difficulty making a decision here. I'm having twins and I'll be taking them to daycare once I return to work. Since I just found out today (I had no idea) that the convertible car seats don't come out of the car, how would you get twin infants into the center by yourself?
Should I get two small infant seats that come out of the car? Should I put them both in a double stroller and bring them in that way? WWYD?
I already received the Evenflo Triumph Advanted convertible car seats. Would you keep them and use them when they get bigger? (they hold a child up to 50lbs). But like I said, they don't come out.....
Help me!

Re: If you'll be using Daycare, what car seat...
I got the Graco Snugride infant car seat and will use the stroller frame at the beginning. I'm only having one so I'll just carry the car seat into the center. With twins, it makes sense to use a stroller to take them into and out of day care. Since DH and I may alternate on picking the baby up, it will be good to leave the car seat at the center during the day. I think it's good to have infant car seats so you don't have to wake up the baby every time you go into and out of the car.
I registered for 2 Britax Marathon convertible car seats, which I'll use when the baby outgrows the infant car seat. It goes up to 65 lbs.

Thanks Brooke. Do you mean I should use an infant seat and snap-n-go to bring them into daycare? It sounds good......I just feel a little guilty for registering for so many seats But I have to do what is easiest with twins!!

I don't know if they have a snap 'n go for 2 car seats, but I would think that would be the easiest way to bring them into daycare. If not, you could always snap the car seats into a travel system. Don't feel guilty. Having an infant car seat and then a convertible car seat is much easier and more convenient, especially with twins.

Michele, we got the graco snug ride and the britax roundabout - 2 of each, and they were all bought off the registry. Don't feel guilty. I was orignally going to only get the convertible seat too and then realized how much easier it would be to have car seats I could take in and out of the car.

Re: If you'll be using Daycare, what car seat...
i am a twin mommy to be also and have made a few twin mommy friends i met at BRU and target lol....we are using the bumbleride twin indie for a stoller so we got graco snugride infant seats (and the bumbleriide carseat cover so they will match the stroller since bumblride only makes strollers)...we plan on using them to take them out and about..they won't be going to a daycare as i will be a SAHM but when we do go to the mall or somewhere i don't want to lug the big stroller we registerd for 2 snap and go's.....advice i got from twin mommies was to get 2 seperate ones...you will have the double stroller iif its just you taking them out alone but they all said it makes itt so much easier to have 2 snap and go's if you have 2 adults going...this way also if you decided to take just one with you somewhere and left the other one at home wth DH you have someway of getting htem around....otherwise you will look silly with a double stroller and one baby ...as far as down the road we registered for the britax convertible car seat...i know it feels greedy to put so many things on your registry..i feel the same but what can you do? you will need them..so may as well ask now hope this helps!

Re: If you'll be using Daycare, what car seat...
at our daycare, the infant twin parents all use the infant carriers & bring them in the snap & go double (they make one for twins). it gets harder when they are too old for the infant carriers. then the parents hold one and use an umbrella stroller for the other.

Thank you all for your advice.....I'll use the BabyTrend infant seat which will snap right into the snap-n-go....then use the convertible car seats when they are bigger........I appreciate all the help, thanks so much!!!

Just so you know some daycare centers do NOT let you leave the carriers there. I know mine does not.
