if you have a DVD player in your car for DC...

are they front or rear facing? I'm freaking out, because we are taking a long road trip, and the DVD player will be attached where the mirror is, and we wont be able to see him if he's rear facing.

He's a very big 11m old. Over 25lbs and 34", but I had planned to keep him RF forever Chat Icon

Now, what brand/model of DVD player do you have, how do you secure it? I'm freaking out because I keep imagining it flying off and hitting DS in the face.

I can't believe how stressful vacations have become since having a baby. I just worry and worry.

We bought one for DS who is 17 months old and still RF. It attaches to the head rest of the seat he is in. It has so many straps that it takes me 10 minutes to get it off the seat. I don't worry about it coming off. The head rest adjusts so I put it up high so DS can't kick it. I got one from Sylvania. It is one flat piece so it attaches nicely to the seat... It is a lifesaver for long trips....

emma is rearfacing and we have the dvd player secured in the car with a case we got at best buy.

The case itself is secured around the headrest and it's in there nicely.

Brand wise - blanking on the name of our dvd player - we've had it for a LONG time now - but it was cheap at the time & we've gotten more than our money's worth.
