If you have a 2 story home...
how do you work you're schedule? Do you come down once in the morning and stay down till bedtime or go up and down throughout the day. Not sure how I'm going to work this. I have 2 pack n plays for each level, but should I also get a separate changing table and where should the baby sleep in his crib upstairs or pack n play downstairs during the day? Sorry for all the questions, I'm just so lost on this one. Thanks

Re: If you have a 2 story home...
We had:
Downstairs: pack and play (to play and short naps) changing table attached to PNP as infant, but as they got older, just changed on the floor
Upstairs crib (long naps and bedtime) changing table

Re: If you have a 2 story home...
We had the pack n play with attached changing table downstairs and DS' nursery was upstairs.
In the very beginning, DS mostly napped in the bassinette portion of the pack n play (or on me, since he preferred that). Around 7 weeks or so he wasn't napping so well so then I started putting him down to nap in his cradle (which was upstairs in my bedroom). By 3 months he was napping in his crib upstairs.
I had changing supplies both upstairs and downstairs. I'd changing him in the changing portion of the PNP when we were downstairs but if it was before or after nap or at bedtime, I'd change him upstairs.
As he got older and outgrew the changing part of the PNP (we didn't use the PNP for anything else actually - well, it became a mega toy box, lol) I'd change him more and more upstairs. I felt it was more comfortable and safer for him. I wasn't a fan of changing him on the floor.
Once he was around 13 months I'd cchange quick pee diapers downstairs but poopie diapers were always upstairs. Fast forward to about 20 months and ALL diapers changes were upstairs. Now at 2.5, quick changes are on the floor but all poopie diapers still upstairs.
Everyone does it differently and you'll find what works for you through trial and error. And what works now won't necessarily work later. I found that eventually DS just napped better in his crib and so that's what I did. He's 33 months and still naps great in his crib. I find that I'm up and down frequently throughout the day and honestly, the stairs don't bother me. Just be careful to really hold on to the rail and if you have no carpeting on the stairs, try to avoid wearing socks to go up and down (or wear shoes).

Re: If you have a 2 story home...
For DS#1 I would carry him up for naps an d changing - i looked at it as a bit of exercise.
For DS#2 and DD they get changed on the floor/couch/grass/ottoman, etc I will nap in crib, since it's quieter.

Re: If you have a 2 story home...
When DS was younger, we had his swing and bouncy seat and the PNP set up downstairs, and his nursery/diaper changing stuff/crib was upstairs
he would nap during the day in the swing or bouncy seat, and occasionally in the pnp
if he needed changing, i would just go upstairs.
never had an issue going up the stairs.. it actually was good because it made for less of a mess all over the house
