If you had your baby...near the end q

I know this differs for everyone, but just wondering what you had going on at the last appointment before you went into labor.

If needed, please elaborate! And if you can tell me how soon after the appointment you went into labor.

I am 38 weeks and for the past 4 weeks I have been told the baby's head was "very low" but had no effacement or dilation. Today they told me I was 1cm dilated, the cervix shortened and I had some effacement. Hope this can mean something will happen soon!

Can you tell I'm ready for eviction even though I'm early?!?

I had went to the OB 2 days before I ended up in labor. I went cause I was just feeling "off". I had an internal and was still closed and the baby was high.
2 days later (around 8pm) i started cramping and feeling terrible, contractions on and off, nothing unbearable though. OB said to head over to L&D to be monitored. Got there and was 1cm dilated and contractions were very sporatic. Went back the next morning around 11am with contractions being about 5 min apart. Was checked and was almost 4 cms...DD came 5 hrs later

ETA- DD#1
went to the OB cause I fell at work. Was checked and was 1cm. No contractions...3 days later I went into labor on my own. Got to the hospital and was 3cm. DD came 8 hrs later

Both DD's were delievered at 36w6d

With my daughter-At last appointment, fingertip-1cm dilated and 50% effaced..Induced 3 days past due date

My last appointment I wasn't dilated but had a 'very soft' cervix.
My appointment was 3:30pm on Friday and I woke up Saturday around 6:30am having contractions. Stayed home through them until they were 8 minutes apart around 10:30pm, showered, got ready went to the hospital around 1am and gave birth to my daughter Sunday afternoon at 3:49pm!

Anything is possible! Walk, walk, walk, walk...even though I know it is hard to do at this point!

Was 3-4cm dilated for 2 weeks before I delivered. I gave birth on Wednesday and the Tuesday before he stripped my membranes. I delivered in 4 hrs on Wednesday night.

With DS I was a fingertip dialated and 50% effaced at 38 weeks. He was still pretty high up and Dr. didn't think he would be coming anytime soon. Well at 38.5 weeks I lost my plug and water broke and DS was born next day. Anything can happen!

I went for my 40w appt and was neither effaced not dilated. My OB scheduled me for an induction 2 weeks out. She wanted me in 3 ( or 4?) days later. That day I was feeling a little off and some pressure. At the appt I was 3cm dilated (don't remember effacement) and my water broke on the table. They monitored my contractions for about a half hr and since my fluids were lower than what she was comfortable with, she sent me to the hospital. I was 5cm on arrival and DD was born about 5hrs later :)

At 37 w I was 1 cm and 50%; at 38 w and 39 w I was 3 cm 75%. I went into labor at 39 w 5 d and DD was born 1 day early.

My OB said at my 39 w appointment that he couldn't believe I was still hanging around and he thought I'd go into labor that weekend. She was very comfy in there (it was winter, I couldn't blame her). My labor from start to delivery was only 6 hours total. I got to the hospital and was 5 cm, 100% and was 9 cm an hour later. I dilated FAST! My OB had to break my water, though, when I got to 10 cm and it was time to start pushing.

At my 38 week appointment I was 1cm dilated and 50% effaced. I never went into lator and had to be induced at 40 weeks. I had DD the next day after a successful induction. Good luck!

At my last appt (almost 39 weeks), I was 1cm dilated, no contractions, and I just felt like I was going to be pregnant forever. I went into labor six days later.

at my 38w appt I wasnt dilated at all, by 39w I was 3 cm and told I would go into labor anyday....at my 40w3d appt. I was 4cm and contracting and sent to L&D...baby was born the next morning.

I had my last appt at 37w1d and had absolutely no progress. Baby was in position but no dilation or effacement, I was told to come back in the following week.

At 37w4d, less than 3 days later, my water broke at about 4:30am and I delivered at 1:28pm.
