If you had a spinal & they had issues getting it in..
how long did the soreness last in your back? I feel like I have a giant bruise on my spine or something. It is such a weird pain...tender.
It wasn't a one-two-three kind of thing where they just put it in.....for some reason, it took them like 10 minutes to do whatever they were doing and I kept begging them to stop and kept asking if they were having issues - they said no, but I'm not sure I believe that.
anyone have a similar experience?

Re: If you had a spinal & they had issues getting it in..
Me and that was the worst part of my entire c-section
I don't know if it was nerves or the person trying to do it, but it took like 6X and I was almost hysterical crying from the pain. I was shaking really bad though from what I remember, so I am sure that had something to do with it.
I did not have pain after though, only while it was being done.

Re: If you had a spinal & they had issues getting it in..
I had a spinal with my first, because they had such a problem with the epidural. I don't remember it hurting, probably because everything hurt so much! The second time around, I had an epidural which was done very quickly without problems. I had a pain like a bruise on my back for about a week or so, and my husband said there was a bruise on my back. I get bruises when they draw blood so it makes sense that I got a bruise from a needle in my back.

I did!! That was the worst part of my c-sect too! The Dr. Had to do it 2x b/c he had trouble getting the cath in. I think it took him at least 10-15 mins the first time & then about 5 mins or so the 2nd time...the Dr. was like sorry I have to redo it..I was like NO! He told me it was no big deal hahahah yeah ok for him!!! I didn't have a bruise but I remember having pain in the area for a good wk or 2 after...when I have another baby if I need a section im finding out how it would be without one...if I go natural I would think that pain would be worse than the epidural lol ( I was very early in labor when section was needed for pre-eclampsia) so my contractions were bearable.

absolutely the worst part!! The anesthesiologist had to call in the head anestesiaologist to do it....and the nurse kept telling me to "calm down, honey, your blood pressure is going up".
I remember having a bruise and a little soreness for a week or so...
