if you don't have a BBQ....how to cook steak?

does it come out good in the oven/broiler?

I don't want to waste the meat if it comes out like yucky.

I cook it in a frying pan on the stove- with butter, garlic and onions

Me too, never used the garlic/onions though, sounds good! I usually just put a pat of butter in the pan, season the steak & throw it in the hot pan. Good stuffChat Icon

See I don't think it does..It leaves marks, but I personally don't think it tastes like something grilled at all.

I have a grill pan that we put right on the burner. You can also get one of those reversible things that fit over two burners - one side is a grill and the other is a smooth griddle.

The trick is to whatever you're using really, really hot before you put anything on it.

I have a Wolfgang Puck one that is so good and I love it!!! One side is for grilling and the other side you can use to do pancakes etc.

it has grill and griddle plates- non stick

you can use it as a open grill, a contact grill ( like the GF) or an open griddle
