If you delivered @LIJ
For those of you who have delivered at LIJ...where did your DH park if he spent the day with you? Street parking, valet, or parking garage?
The times I've been there to see MFM docs I always park in the garage but I'm only there for 2 hours at most and that would cost like $10 but DH would want to stay most of the day.

I'm pretty sure they don't charge you the first couple of days youre there. We actually left on a sunday and there wasn't anyyone to charge us.

I was there for 2 days. DH parked in the lot the first day and the valet is free the day you go home.

The building is so close to street parking. Although with my first dd we parked on street n i was in labor n my dh insists this time we wont go on the street. I guess it depends how im feeling.

Same here. He would come and sleep over and to avoid any charges he would park on the street. They don't charge to valet the day you leave though

DS was in the NICU and apparently if you have a child in the NICU you get free parking in the garage. After DS was moved out of the NICU (and before we knew that) DH parked on the street. We found out when the change of shift was (7AM) so he made sure to be there around then.
