How long did you continue? Did it cause supply issues? How did you feel once you stopped?

I got pregnant with my second when my first was 13 months old. He self weaned at 15 months. I never noticed a decrease in supply. I was sad when he weaned, naturally, because I loved BFing him and that time between us had come to an end. I would have been sad whether i was pregnant or not. However, i was also proud of both him and myself for going that long.

I got pregnant with my second when my first was only 4.5 months. I did notice a change in supply about a month in. I had to start supplementing when DD1 was 7 months, and by the time she was 9 mths, it was pretty pointless because there really wasn't anything left. She self weaned because she wasn't getting anything when she tried. I was sad I couldn't nurse as long as I expected, but it was for a good cause and I tried my hardest, so I was ok with it.

I nursed my DD until 1 year and I found out I was pregnant when she was 7 months...

so i did it about 6 months!

It hurts a lot when she first latched and my supply def dropped - but I was still able to do it for that long!
