If you were to buy a vacation home in NC or SC where would you buy it?
My family lives in Charlotte so I would like to be relatively close. Any help would be great! Thank you!

Topsail Island, NC - Surf City
We lived in an Ocean Front home there from 10/09-04/10 and we had the most amazing time on the beach. There is a swing bring, great area and locals, and it is is currently getting built up more and the prices can't be beat. You are in Southern NC but still pretty darn close to South Carolina.
I also recommend Ocean Isle, NC which is just north of Myrtle Beach.
Not sure if you want to be close to the water or not. Good Luck with your search!

I would look at houses on Lake Norman, right outside of Charlotte.

Calabash! Just North of North Myrtle 5 min from Sunset Beach. My parents bought a house brand new for just under 200k 3 years ago and love it!
