Do you think the Democratic nomination would be the same, even down to the delegates? We have found out so much about every candidate since the Iowa primaries (and other earlier states.) Not looking for a political throw-down here. You can just vote and be on your way.

Re: If the earlier primaries were redone today....
I'm not sure. I think a lot of the states were predictable and would have voted the same way plus or minus a few percentage points at any given point (e.g - NY was always gonna go for Clinton, we love our senator!).
But I think the timing is crucial in other states. I think Obama winning Iowa was HUGE for him and showed his was a viable candidate, leading the way for other states to vote for him. I think if he hadn't won Iowa at that time it would have cost him SC.
This is another reason I feel the FL and MI primaries were even more unfair. Had they followed party rules, the voting would have taken place later and given Obama, the relative unknown at that point a chance to campaign, so i think he would have had more of a chance there.
I think the whole spread out calendar and the notion of "momentum" is so stupid. It makes is such a circus and so much more about what the pundits are saying than if we all voted on the same darn day!
