If Ryan is just starting 12-18 months in Gap...
any possibility he'll be in 18-24 for next winter or is that stupid? Warmest coat is like $10 - thinking I might get Nov - January out of it since he seems to be slowing down in the growth department. Too risky? It's only $10!

next winter I would probable go for the 24 + size, than 18-24. Just in case he has a major growth spirt.

I would say that's unlikely. I would guess that he'd be in 24 months by next winter and 18 months by this summer. But that depends on how much his growth slows...
Beth's Amelia was wearing 18mos at her first birthday and 3T by her second.

I guess you're right. He does wear 18 months in some clothes - but Gap he can do 12-18. Darn - hate to miss a good deal

I just bought a bunch of 6-12 months stuff for Baby K who won't be born until April ..........The sales @ baby Gap were TOO good and the stuff is just TOO cute !!
I'm hoping he's not ginormous !!!

You should be OK. Ryan is on the big side but still gets in 6-12 months from Gap (and he's 24lbs/29inches or was back 2 months ago! he 90th for height and 75th for weight)

DD is still in 12-18 month clothes (she's 19 months) but is wearing a 2T jacket and it's getting a bit snug (since she wears it over layers). I'd definitely go up a size or even 2.
