If power goes out - how do we clean bottles?
I picked up powdered formula incase I can't BF dd enough and lack of pumping.
If the power goes out - and we lose hot water... can we clean the bottles with soap and cold water?

Do you have a gas stove? If so you can still boil water
Just do your best, you can only control what you can! Also, they sell batteries for most pumps, for next time.

We have a gas stove, and it doesn't work when the power is out. Most gas stoves have an electronic ignition. You can try to manually light the pilot on it, but that never seems to work for me.

i think as long as you wash each bottle right after you use it then cold water will be fine

We just use a lighter and it works fine

Just put the burner on and use one of those bbq lighter things. Works perfect!

cold water is ok with lots of soap.
Our stove is gas, we dont try to light the oven, but the stove we just light with a lighter after turnign gas on, works that way.

Yes! If it doesn't have time to sit in there it will rinse right out.

:( we have no gas in the house - all electric...
thanks PP for bringing up batteries for pump....... I just dug inside the medela pump bag and found a battery accessory, and I luckily have a little bit of batteries for it(next time I'll remember to stock up on those batteries).

As long as you wash them as soon as you're done with them I don't think it will be a problem.
