What are you in the mood for? Very fine dining? Or just really tasty food, maybe not the most fine establsihment? I live on border of Midtown East and UES!

more towards fine dining, no chains or touristy/theme places

Midtown east: Gilt Le Cirque Alto (one of my favorite meals ever)
UES: Daniel David Burke Townhouse (one of my favs for brunch) JoJo (a real gem, very cute and romanic IMO) Park Avenue Spring (its pretty popular but still a good recco)
