Ideas for a non-traditional nightstand
I am trying to find furniture for our master bedroom - we need tables for the sides of our bed....any ideas for alternatives to the traditional nightstand? We didn't purchase the matching pieces b/c we didn't want it to look like a "set" - I've been trying to find other types of tables or even just stands buy haven't found the right piece yet...
Any suggestions? I am having trouble b/c our bed is king size with a pillow top mattress (so I need a higher table) AND we are on a budget....

Do you have a Home Goods by you? And what height table do you need?

What about attaching a shelf to the wall next to your bed? Seems like it could be an easy and cheap solution if you just need some surface space rather than additional storage. Also, you can adjust the height to suit you perfectly.

Re: Ideas for a non-traditional nightstand
I'm sorry! That is a trip for tables.
How about Ikea? It's only $49.99 each
Link
It's 27 1/2 inches high. Is that tall enough?

Re: Ideas for a non-traditional nightstand
thank you all for the ideas!!
i am looking into the ikea side table - love it, just hope it doesn't look too small - i measured it out and I *think* it would be ok, but hard to say without seeing it in person...
also the shelves are a cool idea too - def something different which i like!
thanks again guys!

I did this for our bedroom - there isn't enough room on my side of the bed to have a nightstand so DH put up a shelf for me. It holds my glasses, the remote and a bottle of water.
