it was the arrow exterminator women's 5K in farmingdale.
I appreciate the NYS summer run series starting at 7 PM more than ever - it was hot this morning!

omg I was there!!!!!!!! I stayed to watch the awards so I must have seen you go up for your award... CONGRATS on winning your division!!!!!!! You must be really fast!!!!!
I am still sooo sloooowwwww  The winner did it in 17:10.... to me that's just incredible.... I can't even break 30-min. at a 5K... I get sooo close but I can't seem to do it yet!!! I was just happy I ran the entire thing... wish I could get faster though!!!

She was fast - I think she came for the prize money - 17 minutes to win $750 - not bad for a morning's work!
my cousin came in 7th and won $250! We figured it to be $13 a minute - and more than her husband was making that day (he's a lifeguard in the summer)
I'm not as fast as I seem...I won for the Athena division...LOL...but it's still $100! I did 23:45...I was there with a red wagon and 2 kids running around like nuts...
as for getting faster...have you tried intervals? they really do help...but holy how hot was yesterday morning?
