I was very sad this morning
A momma goose and daddy goose had babies in my parking lot at work. I am an animal lover, so whenever the family would walk through the parking lot, I would get the cones from office services, and make sure their path was blocked off. I watched this little family grow from fuzzy little baby geese, to adult geese, who were probably getting ready to fly and go near the water.
Well this morning on my way to work, I saw a dead goose in the road, knowing it was part of the little family I watched grow up. I lost it in the car, and started crying. I know this is nature, and things like this happen, but they always walked together, and I couldnt help but wonder if his/her family saw this little baby get killed. I didnt see the family today, I am hoping they all flew away. 
I know, Im such a flake.

I went back to work and asked my friend Brian to please go get the shovel, and move him/her on to the grass. I didnt want anyone to hit the poor thing again.
I could cry just thinking about it.

omg! I would've lost it too. I've been watching this geese family by my house for the past 2 months or so. The parents are sooooo protective of their 1 gosling. I look for them everytime I walk or drive past the pond.

The reason they are like that is because they want to protect their young. And when they are mean, and are NOT protecting their young, they are just protecting themselves. Imagine being so little, in this big world, and having to survive amongst cars, people, etc. :(
