I was trying to let it go but I cant..how would you feel?

I was just going to let this go..but after mentioning it to a few friends and talking to my mom about it..its bothering me more than ever!

So we went to my dh's nieces sweet sixteen this past weekend. It was the first time his family had seen the baby. He wasnt talking to his sister much before this and I felt bad and established a friendship with her online just so he could talk to her again..and it worked. So anyway..we get there..and everyone is grabbing at the baby..ok fine..they were excited..but she didnt like it at all..she didnt know these people and started to cry. Ok..I take her, calm her down and then they want to take pictures.

So his sister says..we need a family picture..and hands me the camera. So his sister and my dh and her family get in the picture, his sister holding MY DAUGHTER..and NO ONE..not even dh asks me to get in any of the pictures. My mom came with us and she said out loud..Noreen get in the picture and I will take it..they all hears and again..no one told me to get in the picture. I was really hurt and REALLY angry! I mean, she is my daughter..I gave birth to her...and I was the reason for even being at the party in the first place or else they woud have never spoken again..

I feel like saying something so bad because its eating away at me but what will that accomplish??

I would be mad, and I would want to say something too.

But as an outsider, you should let it go. You are right, it will not accomplish anything.

I would say something to dh though.

Just mention it to your husband, letting him know that it hurt you.

saying something to them will just make everyone uncomfortable.............tell your DH how you feel
taht usually makes me feel better

I would absolutely mention it to your DH. He's as guilt as everyone else. I can't believe he didn't think you should be in the picture.
