I was admitted to L&D yesterday for bleeding...
I'm 27 weeks pregnant
I was at Medieval times in NJ of on a class trip. I felt a gush of fluid and I went to the bathroom and my panties were soaked in blood.
I called the Dr. and had the asst. Principal drive me back to school. By the time I got to the doctor, the blood had soaked my jeans and when I tried to leave a specimen, it was all blood (TMI)
I was a total wreck.
They checked and the baby was fine, placenta and amniotic fluid were fine, cervix was closed, but the cervix was bleeding.
They monitored me for a while and decided to admit me to the hospital for observation.
The good news is the baby is strong and fine. He was moving around like crazy, but it seems that there was something on the outside of the cervix that burst - either a blood vessel or a polyp.
I'm on bed rest for a week  but I'm so glad it's not worse... I really got the scare of my life yesterday!

I can't even imagine how scary that must of been! I've had my bouts of bleeding but not as severe...I'm glad to hear the baby is doing fine, and try not to worry!
