I want to smack her!!!
My bil's fiance...
I found out so much stuff this weekend and I am going to explode!!
When my BIL told her he was having second thoughts on booking the hall she wants she told him to go F himself! 
Then she told him " This is MY day its all about ME" "Me and my mother are planning it and MAYBE I will let you help a little"
 
OMG what a biotch!!! If I were him I would have said Since you and your mom are planning the whole thing then YOU pay for it!!! My BIL is footing almost the whole bill!!!
Actually no wait I lied.. I would have said I hope you and your mother have a happy life together!!! See ya!!! and give me back my ring!

She walks all over him like a door mat!! thats not even the 1/2 of it!!! When they got engaged..it was b/c he was about to go to a bachelor party in Vegas and she said " I better have a ring on my finger first.. or else"

She wasn't like this in the beginning but I think she pushed him little by little to see how far she could go. Once she saw she could walk all over him and he would just take it ( he wasnt like this before so I don't get it) then she really started to take advantage!!
I think its been like this for awhile and she is just becoming bolder about it b/c now shes engaged and getting married in less then a year and owns him

I don't know.. he was never like this before.. He hates confrontation but this is BAD!
He also has really low self esteem ( and he constantly making comments about what he is eating, that he needs to go to the gym, etc.) does not help. He thinks he would never meet anyone else

Can someone talk to him. This is an awful way to start a marriage. This is supposed to be the best time- when you are the nicest possible to each other because you are so in love. You have to plan, not only for your wedding, but for your marriage. If she is always putting him down- what kind of life will they have? WHAT KIND OF MOTHER WILL SHE BE??
I wish some people would understand its better to be alone and wait for the right one, then to settle with someone who will make you miserable.

Myself and My DH have both tried to talk to him... He listens and says he understands but its obviously not getting through to him.
I love him like my own brother and this upsets me SO much. In the last year and 8 months they have been together even his personality changed.. he used to be more outgowing and fun to be around.
Shes like a warden. He was over our house the other day spending time with his brother and me and his nephew/godson that he LOVES to pieces but hardly sees anymore.. and she called him and asked where he was. When he said At my brothers house visiting everyone her responce was " WHY?!?!"

That is really sad. I am so sorry for your BIL. I would never wish a marriage like that on anyone. You have to want to give and love and do right by your spouse all the time. In reality, you won't always do the right thing. But if the desire to be nice and kind and loving and do right isn't there in the beginning, it never will be there. It doesn't like your FSIL respects your BIL and that is something that rarely comes with marriage.
I have a friend who was engaged to someone who never seemed to make her happy- other than the fact that she loved him and that they were together made her happy. I never liked him (the only guy of all my friends' DH/BF). In fact, a few days before their wedding, we were at another friends wedding and he wasn't there. She was there with her mom. Her mom said, marriage is a wonderful thing- and I said, marriage to the right person is a wonderful thing. Her mom laughed at me and said, "you really are a lawyer, aren't you." Well unbeknownst to me, they were having MAJOR problems. In fact her mom said to her, did you tell Shelly about the problems??
2 days later, 3 days before the wedding, he called it off. She told me what it was like being with him the last few weeks before the wedding- he was so mean to her, so unthoughtful- and not even out of malice, just out of selfishness... I couldn't believe she almost married him. Her mom and I both said to her, imagine your life with him and you miserable you would have been. If this is what he was like during a happy time, imagine what it will be like during the tough times. In my friend's situation she was spared. I hope your BIL is too.

I'm glad you and your DH had a talk with him, because I know many people wouldn't even take this step.
Your BIL is his own person and has to make this decision on his own. If he's really this miserable, he needs to do something about it. We all have choices in life and it's time for him to make a choice.
