I think I am going to need new mommy boot camp
Yesterday my old co-worker stopped by the office with her son to see me. She was due a month before me but wound up going a month early.
She asks me if I want to hold the baby. I smile and said said I would love too.
I was a nervous wreck thinking I was hurting him or going to drop him. Then he squirmed and sounded like he was going to cry and I kept thinking oh no I'm hurting him. Then he just looked at me and smiled and was making cute baby noises. I got a little more comfortable. She kept assuring me the baby is fine.
I handed her back the baby and she left. I had this cute little baby scent on me. I thought maybe she had lotion on him or something and it rubbed off. I sent her an email so glad I got to see her and the baby. And I asked her what he had on. her response to me Enfamil Baby Formula 
I'm a doomed new mommy. I think I need to go to new mommy boot camp. Why can't babies come with instruction manuals

Trust me, when it's YOUR baby, it's totally different. The "mother" in you will kick in and you'll do just beautifully. When it's your baby, you're not worrying if you're going to break them or drop them.

heh, when you find that bootcamp, do me a favor and sign me up too I'm in exactly the same mindset right now 
I swear DH and I are depending upon instinct to kick-in. (that and a lot of classes and DVDs, as if they'll do much good!)

DH thinks meatball is going to come out with dimples because I like to poke at my belly to get him to wiggle around.
I do hope those instincts kick in or this kid is going to be wearing his diaper on backwards, bib as a super hero cape and those cute little coo's are going to be him laughing at me
