I think audio books have ruined me
I'm addicted! My life is so busy and frankly when I had down time I would start reading and fall asleep. Since I drive a lot for my job I started listening to books and now I'm hooked. I cannot even tell you when the last time I listened to music was.
I feel like I'm cheating reading the "cliff notes" or something

I've been doing this for over a year now. I've "read" about a dozen Stephen King books. There's no way I could find the time to read them at home. There's too many other things to do. Plus, broadcast radio is horrible. I would spend the entire commute just flipping through the presets trying to find something to listen to. At least now I feel like I'm actually accomplishing something. 
I read really fast, and skip words (but I get all the concepts). Listening to the story, I get every single word, and at a reasonable pace, so I think I actually get MORE out of a book when I listen to it.

lol. me too. I take the subway and never get a seat, so shuffling bags and books and people in my crowded train isn't that easy.

Audiobooks are the only thing that keep me from going insane when I drive to work! I have a long commute in traffic most of the way and they make everything so much better! I still do love reading a real book at night or on the weekends.
