I smelllllll... REFUND!!!!
Thanks so much for everyone's input before when I was curious about how filing married for the first time will affect our tax return. It was actually interesting to see how MUCH it can differ from person to person!
Anywho, we got our taxes done and got a GREAT refund back - last years was a little more but this years was still really good and much more than we expected lol we always go in with LOW expectations haha! 
We are delighted and thankfully, we have much more than enough for our Paris airfare - yippy! 
ETA: what is everyone else doing w/ their refund??

Wow, i wish I could even USE my refund $! I supposedly don't withhold enough and we have to pay 1200.00 back to state/fed.
BLECH!!!!

Right into the bank. We bought new furniture last year and will be buying a car before we even get our refund, so it will be nice to give our savings a little boost.

We will put some towards finishing the fence in our backyard.
Some towards our HELOC. Some towards Credit Cards.
And the rest in savings.

i'm soooo happy to hear the news!!
also glad that you went and came back safely in the yucky weather of yesterday!!
our refund, this year, is a small one .
dh changed the withholdings on his w4 without telling me, so there was a lot less coming back. since we needed it paycheck to paycheck, it's ok.
our refund will be use to pay down consumer debt... what fun lol
