Please don't feel like a failure - I know it's easier said than done. 
I'm not even in the same boat as you (our tantrums have only just begun) so I won't pretend to know exactly how bad it is. I just hope she gets through it soon (and you too)

DD is 16 months and has started with these. I can see how down it can make you. Today was one of those days. Please know that you are NOT a failure. You are a wonderful Mommy...we can see that from being on the boards all this time with you. It will get easier. This is just a phase. Just keep telling yourself that it's only temporary.

Marcie....It is NOT you and you are NOT a faillure. You are an awesome Mom to Ali - - its the AGE!!!! We are going through the exact same thing over here. It stinks soo bad.

You are not alone, trust me on that one!!! It's definitely the age. DS was terrible for a weeks and then yesterday it dawned on me that he hasn't had a tantrum in a while. It was also then that I stopped feeding into his BS. I was doing really well with ignoring it and then somehow I stopped it and now he is doing better.
What about taking her for a walk in this great weather. I took them out for an hour and he was so excited.
