I Officially Have a Threenager!!!
DD turned 3 on Monday! Yay, but I am really struggling with her behavior (really the last two years, but who's counting)!
Tantrums, whining, crying all the time at the drop of a dime, particularly if she doesn't get her way. She's being mean to me and my parents, which is really getting under my skin since they LITERALLY will and do any and everything for her. No kisses, hugs, pushing away, saying don't touch me.
I go back to work next week after bereavement leave and she's used to having me around after camp. I'm worried and feel bad for my parents who have my one yo DS and her after camp.
How do you parent your strong-willed child? It doesn't help that she's exactly like me and my mom, stubborn, head strong, always wanting to get her way. We are three generations of ridiculous. Sigh
Help meeee!!!

I Officially Have a Threenager!!!
Welcome to my world. 20 minute crying fit because she was overtired and wanted me to put her in her car seat. After I strapped her in she she wailed because she wanted to climb in. The age of 3 is a test of evolution.

This is what I would do if I wasn't pregnant.
I just try to keep my calm when DD is freaking out and try not to snap. Sometimes it doesn't work out that way though

Seriously moms should be granted unlimited patience as soon as they give birth, like the moment u hear the very first cry!!!!
Btw I love the word threenager, the word! not the meaning!

This. This is the only coping mechanism I have because tossing my son off the deck is frowned upon (I feel the need to insert here that I would never ever do this, despite how many times he screams in my face).
