I never paid attention in Biology Class

So , a spinoff to my post about baby always kicking me to the left and kicking (or maybe punching?) my vajajay.

Anyway.. Im 26w .. how is the baby laying? Head down? Head up? To the side? All of the above depending on its mood? Does it depend on the baby?

Does it turn head down at some point and stay that way?

I feel like I should already know this myself lol

Baby is probably still floating all over the place. I'm 31w and she's always in a new position, head down, feet down, transverse. I didn't even ask this time how she was positioned. I get sonos every 2 weeks, so I usually ask how she's positioned -- not that it matters, I'm a c-section!

Im 25 weeks and the baby is laying across me, horizontally - its not head up or head down yet.

Another dumb question on my part.. how do you know how the baby is positioned?

Sometimes you can feel how they're positioned from their movement but you don't really know without an u/s or your OB telling you. I was good at guessing based on the movement and where I'd feel the kicking and punching though. I'd tell my OB what I thought and it was always confirmed by the u/s.

My baby floated to any and every position all the way up to my c section at 39 weeks!! she was called an unstable lye... since she would be in position then breech within the same day!!

generally by around 30 weeks or so you want them to be in position. by 35 weeks you def want them in position... though if they aren't yet there still is some last minute time to get them there. around 37 weeks... they hopefully are in position. if they don't go into position then it's a C or you can try to turn them.

the way they move depends on the baby. i did learn that gravity is what makes them get into position.. since their head is the heaviest part...the gravity pulls that down. but still some babies must just defy gravity.. like mine!! haha!

so there really is no exact answer to this.. the baby rules in this case!!!

My dr said at that point, the baby has a lot of room so she/he is moving around a lot and changing positions all the time.

Since I was 31 weeks, babygirl has been head down...but even at that point, my dr said it could change..It's just everytime we went to the dr from that point she was head down.
