I need suggestions for DHs new office/reading room-paint colors?
its our old guest room, small-about 12x12 with wide plank oak floors & crown molding. DH already has an expresso color drafting table that we will use in the room. We will add a filing cabinet & probably a small sofa.
DH wants a "classic man's office"
Any suggestions or pics of your home office?

I have Ralph Lauren's suede finish paint in my bedroom - it's a light cocoa color with dark brown trim. It's really rich looking. I don't have a picture where you can see the trim but it's darker then the furniture. Image Attachment(s):

I'm thinking either a gray or a slate blue. very manly! Some of these pics are just for colors, not for the room style.

A nice slate blue would look great too.

I love BM Audubon Russet and sounds like it would go well. You could also do a leather look with paper bags. I had this in my house in NY and people LOVED it. Its really easy and inexpensive too as well as being environmentally friendly. If you're interested let me know and i'll post directions

I love BM Audubon Russet and sounds like it would go well.
We have that color in our kitchen, this room is right next to the kitchen!
I do love the color though!

painted my kid's room Navy, also white molding, light floors...looks fantastic. so clean.

LOVE navy. you could pair with vintage nautical accessories, black and white sailboat artwork, antque framed maps, distressed oars on the wall, a sisal area rug and wood or woven blinds. VERY classic and masculine.

i can totally see it.
shocked how much I love the navy. paired it with a black dresser. even though its a dark color, its not really heavy, just crisp.

we just painted our office gray (we have blackish espresso furniture) and it looks great....we have white crown molding so its a monochromatic look...white/gray/black....looks very manly and clean/crisp
