Re: I need my couches cleaned....suggestions??
Stanley Steamer does it.
I have microfiber couches and I just unzip the covers and throw them in the washer. They come out perfect. On the parts that don't zip off, I use an upholstery cleaner. I spray it all over the entire couch and rub it in with a wrung out damp clean white rag. Then I let it dry and vacuum it. You have to do the whole couch or it will leave water marks.
There is also this method It looks pretty interesting and if you look at the comments on the page she has had many people use it and it seems to work.

Thanks for sharing this!
I have that light colored microfiber like on the blog, and I am SO glad I purchased it cheaply at Bob's so I can get rid of it in a few years.
For now I can't afford new LR furniture so am always looking for ways to clean it.
The pillows I just throw in the wash.
Will try the other methods for the seat cushions.

Re: I need my couches cleaned....suggestions??
I actually became motivated to do a deep clean yesterday after reading this thread. I threw the covers in the wash and they look brand new.
My chaise, it was just way too big to pull that baby off to wash, so I tried the alcohol method.
Came out AWESOME!
Now I am on such a kick, I am making DH unscrew all the blinds in my living room today so I can clean them too.
